Great excitement this week at the prospect of a team from Purdue University having located the pilot's remains in the South Pacific from a satellite image.
'Given what we'd been provided with (inset) it looked a close match. Whilst it turned out to be a tree, the encouraging thing is we've stayed on a tropical island and you've all paid for it.'
